Epistar has announced the launch of a warm white LED with a luminous efficacy of 110 lm/W for 1W and 3W. Epistar has developed this high color rendering coefficient and energy-efficient warm white LED to replace incandescent incandescent lamps. Light efficiency and color rendering index (CRI) are two major performance advantages in the white LED industry for lighting. However, these two advantages are opposite each other in the work. The method of wafer photoelectric is to make these two advantages simultaneously improve.
The picture shows a phosphor-free 1W and 3W package and a bright-light package coated with yellow-green phosphor.
At 15V low voltage operation, the 1W package has a color rendering index (CRI) of 90 and a luminous efficacy of 110 lm/W. At the same time, the CRI of the 3W package is 90 at a high voltage of 50V, and the luminous efficiency is 105 lm/W. The color temperature (CCT) of both packages is around 3000K. The 1W lamp combines several blue and red LED chips in the same package and is coated with a yellow-green phosphor. Its power consumption and total amount of light can be adjusted by modification of the LED chip combination. The 3W lamp uses a high voltage monolithic combination of a DC multi-chip array combined with several red LED chips. Yellow and green phosphors are used in both 1W and 3W packages. The bridge structure of the 3W lamp can complete the AC drive. These packages are available for E12/E14 table lamps, E26/E27/GU10 lamps, PAR lamps and other energy efficient warm white applications.
