LG said that OLED will start delivering new TV products in early February and plans to sell 1400 retail stores in South Korea. They will be available in the US, Europe and other Asian markets in the first quarter of 2013.
The 55-inch OLED TV will sell for 11 million won (about 10,000 US dollars), nearly 4 times the price of LG's LED-backlit LCD TV, and about 5 times that of a normal LCD TV.
OLED displays are already used in Samsung Galaxy S and Note smartphones. However, OLED panel manufacturers such as LG Display and Samsung Display have not solved production problems and reduced costs. 
LG Electronics 55-inch OLED TV began shipping in early February
